On a cool brisk Christmas Eve in Midland, Texas there lived a bearded man named Kevin Duggan, his beautiful wife Kelly Duggan, their sons Dexter and Julian, and their rescue dog Rosa. Kevin was your typical hard working beardsman who takes pride in his lustrous facial hair. But unfortunately Kevin's family didn't love his beard quite as much as he did so after years of well earned beard growth Kevin did what any selfless, loving son, and husband would do. He shaved it off as a Christmas gift to his family. Full beard to clean shaven over night.
Naturally Kevin recorded himself shaving off his beloved beard and his mom's reaction to seeing his face for the first time in years. And we are glad he did because her reaction is priceless. Kevin's transformation from full beard to clean shaven was pretty impressive but we can't get over the heartwarming response from his mom. It's the kind of touching wholesome content we need more of right now and apparently we aren't the only ones who think so.
Since Kevin posted his mom's reaction video on his All Dogs Go to Kevin YouTube channel the video has garnered over 30 million views, 302,000 Likes, and 29,620 comments! With that many comments you'd expect to see some trolls but most of the feedback has been positive. One commenter saying "Love this! My son surprised me by shaving his beard for high school graduation, was one of the best days ever!!"
A friend told me that they used milk instead of shaving cream. I said “Pasteurised?” He said “No, just around my chin”.

My favorite comment though had to be "How touching! This reminds me of the first time I also took a razor to my beard after 5 years! It had been so long since I saw my clean shaven face that I forgot what I looked like. It almost brought a tear to my eye. As I shaved my beard and felt the smoothness of my face for the first time in years I too couldn't help but think of my family and how happy they are going to be when they see me.
